The travel company was extremely helpful in customizing my trip to include some of the more unique sites despite the time crunch and budget constraints. Any questions or accommodation requests were answered thoroughly and quickly. As for the trip itself, all of our tour guides were very friendly, adaptable, and knowledgeable of their respective sites. They made the language barrier feel nonexistent and helped my family experience the culture more in-depth, which I doubt we would have received if we went on our own. They were also very adaptable to accepting requests, such as going to a specific shop or restaurant. As a first time flier, I was initially worried of the outcome, but I am very glad of having worked with Zicasso because the overall experience was memorable and stress-free. 

Every five years my husband and I do a long trip somewhere for "big" anniversaries.This is my husband and my second big trip using Zicasso.  Our first trip was an incredible journey through Scandinavia five years ago.  Part of me thought it was just dumb luck we got the best travel agent/support team on the planet for that trip.  It was amazing.  Now, for our 40th anniversary we figured we would try Zicasso again.  We went to Japan, a gorgeous country with very different cultural touchstones (food, language, etc.).  We had several friends mentioned struggles upon traveling in Japan.  All of them advised we think twice about going because of the struggles.  Well, our two week trip to Japan actually topped the previous trip to Scandinavia!  It was unbelievablly well thought through, coordinated and curated.  I cannot IMAGINE doing what we did without the backup support Alex (the talented agent we dealt with).  Thank you for the trip of a lifetime.

The trip was fun and exciting and went very well.  The guides chosen were very knowledgeable and attentive.  Logistics were good as well.  Suzie and the team were all very attentive. 

This was an excellent company to work with. We would recommend to all.  However I want to preface this review by stating that this trip was planned back in Jan. of 2020, prior to the Chinese virus disaster, and that this trip was postponed in March 2020 for 3 consecutive years. Our original travel planner left the company, and a new one was installed to carry on this trip to completion, (she did a great job).  The goal of our trip was based on cultural aspects and the people of the countries visited.  Despite setbacks, all and all this was a good trip.   Of course, there were several instances beyond everyone’s control that caused this trip to be less than stellar.  Weather (pollution). We didn't see the sun for 30+ days, and changes due to the Chinese virus. The explanation of events and itinerary were far more glorious than received.  Not bad, but different.  But all in all it was a great trip nonetheless. Yes we would recommend to all.  

In late 2019 we booked a trip to Japan through our travel agency that was to happen in Spring 2020. Then Covid appeared and the world shut down. During the delay, the company was clear and timely in communication as we tried to reschedule our trip a few times, hoping Japan would allow tourists again. After 3 years Japan finally reopened and we were able to complete our vacation in April, 2023.The wait was worth it. From beginning to end of our 15 day visit, we were guided and assisted by friendly, knowledgeable guides and drivers; we had excellent communication with in-country representatives; we had outstanding accommodations; we saw the big tourist attractions and a few "special" tours where it was just us, our guide and local residents. All in all an amazing experience that we could never have planned by ourselves.Thanks to Charlotte and the team at the travel company and to our wonderful guides in Japan. This was a vacation we will never forget.

The travel agency was a great match for our family's budget, timeline, and agenda.They did an initial video call to make sure they knew what we wanted out of our trip.Their responses to our questions prior to the trip were timely.I would not make any changes to the recommended itinerary that we followed, other than some train times.The accommodations were outstanding!! Can't say enough about how perfect they were, especially their locations. This alone was worth using this travel agency. We would never have done this well picking places on our own.The tour guides were also outstanding!! Having someone to show us around on our first days in Tokyo and Kyoto was both comforting and informative. Our guides were thoughtful, personable, and in extremely good shape! Again, a bonus of using this company.All of the meet and greet services upon our arrival were very helpful: Getting IC cards, getting pocket wifis, getting JR Passes and setting up the dates for use, navigating trains to our hotelThe Itinerary at a Glance was extremely helpful and well-worn by the end of our trip.Details all the way down to an envelopes with coins for bus fare and park passes were provided.   It would have been even more helpful if:we had been told that our daughters' ADHD medication was ILLEGAL (due to containing amphetamine). Instead, when I asked specifically about ADHD medication, I was told, "You can bring prescription medication into Japan. Just keep it in the bottles from the pharmacy. I have never had any issues bringing medication to Japan and none of our travelers have mentioned any issues."the differences between reserved and unreserved seats with the JR Pass were explained more explicitly. We preferred to travel with unreserved seats so that we had flexibility with our schedule. This worked great until our final train from Tokyo Station to Narita Airport (after we'd turned in our pocket wifi.) The train we needed was reserved seats only, which we resolved, but only after a minor panic.the bus from Snow Monkey Park to Shibu Wagoashi was better labeled on our itinerary. We wanted to stay for lunch at the park, and asked several staff which bus we should take back based on what was on our itinerary, but they were unsure. We eventually figured out that the bus schedule was for Yudanaka Station.  

Carl and his team at the travel agency spent considerable time listening to our interests and assembled an itinerary that exceeded our expectations.  We had not been to Japan, and we had requested a mixture of visiting the most important sites along with some interesting and authentic experiences.  We even had some special requests for food and shopping, and again, they delivered.  I highly recommend this travel agency for anyone wanting assistance traveling to Japan.
